Founder, EVK Training and Solutions
Dr. Evgeniy Kulakov is a geologist, researcher, and educator with a Ph.D. in Geology from Michigan Technological University and a B.S. in Applied Geophysics from Novosibirsk State University. His career spans more than fifteen years of university teaching, scientific research, curriculum development, and academic service in the United States, Europe, and Russia.
Dr. Kulakov has taught a wide range of geology and Earth science courses, from introductory classes to advanced subjects such as structural geology, mineralogy, petrology, planetary physics, global tectonics, and Earth magnetism. His experience spans classroom, laboratory, field, and online instruction.
His research focuses on paleomagnetism, global tectonics, early Earth evolution, rock and mineral magnetism, paleogeography, and paleoclimate. He has reviewed research for leading scientific journals and received the American Geophysical Union’s Excellence in Refereeing Award.
Dr. Kulakov founded EVK Training and Solutions to make high-quality academic support more personal, accessible, and effective. He believes students learn best when complex ideas are explained clearly, instruction is matched to their individual needs, and progress is built on genuine understanding. EVK brings that approach to professional tutoring, placement assessment, academic guidance, and university-level non-credit learning opportunities.
